The CB makes one of the best breaded tenderloins I've ever had.
This is the best place for beer in Columbus. Their variety and quality of rotations on tap and nitro is excellent. There is always something new and wonderful to try. About half the chalkboard is different day-to-day.
This is probably the most "local" pub in the neighborhood if you want to get a feel for the community. There's a mug club to go along with Cheers-like congeniality and the usual suspects. Everybody on the staff is pleasant and friendly. It's a swell little joint.
This is a nice little bar with s good selection of food. There is not much seating area and service can be very slow. They make a pretty decent tenderloin.
Most Hoosiers are familiar with a breaded pork tenderloin. To those who aren't, please let me explain. The cook takes a portion of the pork loin and hammers it flat to tenderize the meat. To thick, it will be about as tender as beef jerky. The cook then breads the loin either in a mix of flour and spices or dips it in a batter solution. The loin is then fried to a golden brown and served on a bun. A good loin is usually about twice the size as the bun.
The food is Southern Hoosier and German-inspired, mostly. There are also fish tacos and the "Chupacabra" wrap. If you're really hungry get the jagerschnitzel.
It is worth a stop if your travelling. They also have a family side so the kids may come as well.
Yummy food and good brews! There is a bar side that is 21 and up, and also a family side for everyone. We often take our kids in for lunch! You can get typical bar food at the CB or also some interesting finds that you wouldn’t expect. Powerhouse brewed beers are exceptional, with my favorite being Ceraline!
A classic bar! Craft beer is the specialty and amazing bar food. Prices are quite amazing and service is always excellent. There is a family side that is completely separate from the bar side and allows a bit of privacy for a family with younglings. Vegetarian options are vast as well as the meat options. Cory, the head of the kitchen and many other things, is a master at his craft. He can make anything and make it delicious. His menu is large and really can accommodate any type of eater, including the younger ones. 5 stars from me!
