There is a short wait of only a few minutes to get your food once ordered, and it comes out looking and tasting delicious. The flavor is great, and the meals are filling. Being a self serve place the prices are about half what you would probably pay in a table service restaurant. So this makes the Indiana Smokehouse a great lunch or dinner stop for people on the go and short on time, and who want top quality food at fast food prices.
1st time in... the food was excellent! I had the lunch special, brisket sandwich coleslaw and corn cake and I'm happy to say it's definitely some of the best barbecue I've ever had and the sides were just exceptional. I'll definitely make this a regular stop when I'm in Columbus

Excellent food and service is what you will get here. The friendly and helpful staff greats you as you walk in the door and approach the counter to place your order, like a fast food place. But the quality is much more of a sit down with table service type of place. The very casual atmosphere of it being set up like a fast food style place is nice. The prices are as expected, and the serving sizes are large. You get a nice selection of self serve BBQ sauces to try, drinks, and metal silverware to use.
This place was so great when it first opened, I used to eat there once a week. My favorite thing from the menu was their full chicken combo. I used to love their daily veggies because something different was available every time. Unfortunately, the menu has changed so much, the food is unrecognizable from what it once was. The prices for their food increased, and portion sizes decreased. More annoying than anything is the fact that they open 11-3 except for Friday and Saturday, and they close Mondays. Basically, if you don't go there for lunch, you're probably going to drive there and find it closed. Unless this place changes the quality of their food and service (not to say that their attention was bad to me as a customer, but what I've said above), and improve their availability, I'm not sure how long they'll stay in business.
Went in late so maybe that's why food wasn't as good. Staff friendly and looked clean but thought it was overpriced for the quantity and quality.
The have a nice salad bar you can get as a meal or add on to any meal. They offer various daily specials, as well as lunch specials. The various BBQ flavors all tasted great, and this is a very nice place to eat something different than a burger for lunch. Help yourself to jalapeno's onions, and pickles to compliment your meal. Rolls of paper towels are on each table if you're a messy BBQ eater, haha.
