They have never gotten my order right on the first try. They always forget the side or get me the wrong item. The wait for the food is also longer than at other places. Even when the entire restaurant was empty, they took approximately 30 minutes to bring the food.
Really wasn't impressed. Took forever to get seated, then over an hour wait for our food. Don't get me wrong food wasn't horrible, just not great. And considering the wait, the negative experience was compounded by the less the impressive food.
When we first walked in, there was a huddle of workers at the host station and we were not greeted and stood there for a minute before a waiter walked up and ended up taking us to our seat. Then it took nearly 5 minutes for out waiter to come and get our drink order. Then about 10 minutes later we got our chips after we had asked another waiter to bring them to us. Then not a minute later our food came out. The food was very good and well prepared but after leaving we were not gone for 20 minutes before my girlfriend and I both had to run to the bathroom because we were so sick afterwards. We have been sick all night after eating there. After that experience we will proudly say we will never eat there again. All in all the service sucked and the food makes you sick.
I enjoy the slight change from more common Tex Mex joints. They also have real fried ice cream which won me over almost instantly.
However, the ambiance and the food is good.
I had the seafood chimichanga. It was stuffed with imitation crab, had 2 shrimp, and no scalps.(Well it had one the size of a finger tip). Likely will not return soon but I hope it was an off night and next time it'll be better.
After two visits it has been a very positive dining experience. Staff has been lively and attentive, chips are warm and salsa is (in my opinion of course) the best in town, and the dinner was served promptly. Shrimp has been top notch as has the chicken. Worth a stop if you're tired of cooking. You won't be disappointed!
