The vet asked if we wanted to split the shots of our small dog. I didn't think it would be necessary as she had grown since the last time she got her shots and I didn't want another bill for a visit. I asked, "won't we get charged again?" To which she replied, "no." Then on the way out their computer system was (for them) conveniently "down", so we could not be given a receipt. Well, as you've probably deduced by now we were presented with a full bill after the second visit. I complained vociferously but they only care about the money. Not the story, logic or facts. I decided to go back to a different office (with much trepidation) thinking the problem was the new West office. I could not have been more wrong. The assistant immediately assailed us with the outstanding balance and I tried to reasonably explain it to her. She explained to me how wrong I was and told me the "facts" as if she'd been there (which she wasn't). Her explanation was full of hubris and nonsense. When she left the room I said to my wife, "this is carp" and my wife said, "we need to find another vet". Well this ultimately unprofessional veterinary assistant ( or whatever she is) came in and said to us in a loud, rude, nasty tone, "if you're going to use abusive language then you can just leave!" No one was talking to her. It was spoken between a married couple in a normal volume and was in no way "abusive". We left, will never go back to those overpriced, rude, unprofessional con artists. I believe they intentionally lied and said there would not be another charge (that it was fully covered under the first bill) and conveniently had a broken computer system making it impossible for them to provide a detailed receipt so that they could double bill us and bring in more money for their operation. Professional associations violate the rights of Americans daily by lobbying for laws that make it illegal for average citizens to purchase the goods and services they need without going to a licensed professional cartel member (doctors, veterinarians, lawyers). This is the heart of anti American behavior, as this country and the freedom it was founded to guarantee was in direct response to such guilds, associations, cartels that ruled European commerce. An elite group using the guns of government thugs to keep their unfair economic advantage at the expense of everyone else. Don't go to Hope Vet Clinic! They are overpriced and unprofessional.
